I love this! Such a skillful course right along the edge of sentiment. And the line, “That’s a Mark Slate word, I’m being contaminated” always makes me laugh.

You have made some good points there. I checked on the web for more info about the issue and found most people will go along with your views on this site.

A very emotional story. One I enjoyed very much but I can't help feeling it should be longer. Have you thought of continuing it?

This was just lovely. Napoleon slowly realizing that even his relationship with Illya has changed. I like that it is Illya who provides the solution, that Mark realizes April is more than his "sister" and that hopefully, everyone will have a happy ending.
Thanks so much for writing this!

with this nap/illya and mark/april pairings, i begin to wonder if uncle alex's partner pairing was more of a couple pairing...
anyway, cute story. so sad that it took some persuasion to get me to read it. much much better than i thought ^-^

As always, Nat, that was just gorgeous. I love the emotion seething away below the surface here. Beautifully written, very subtle, and absolutely in character. Thank you!

This was *very* interesting -- the awkward tension in the air (when Nap was still trying to mix with Illya and other Section Two agents) was heartbreaking, yet so believable. I was quite sad most of the way through this...until the end! Yay for all the possibilities. :) I hope Illya does become his assistant...among other things. *g* Thank you for sharing this story!

Howcome I've not read this one before, Nat? What a lovely peek into the future. It's so believable, and even makes me sympathetic towards Mark and April. Very, very nice.

What an interesting look at the changes that come to Our Heroes. And I love the wistful musings of Mark about April. I hope he gets his transfer, too.

What a great story. I wrote a lot about this on another form but it wouldn't have it when I submitted it. Tried three different browsers too. If this goes I'll try again to tell you how much I enjoyed your story. :o) Sue
