This was wonderful and I'm glad I had eaten before I read it. Very vivid descriptions of the restaurant and Vinea and the staff. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVED this story! There are two foods I hate the most in this world and one of them is fried calf's liver and the other is cooked carrots. I found my mouth watering when I read "Oh God, you've got to try this!" when Sadie was eating Chef's carrots! I've never had duck breast but you made it sound like the most delectable and succulent thing on the planet! Illya's confident faith in his menu, his staff and his cooking skills was so heartwarming. I wish I had even one ounce of that kind of confidence. And Napoleon always has his partner's back no matter what. Just wonderful. I'm still smiling. I also got a great chuckle out of that cute bedroom scene too, Illya arranging the sheet, blankets, pillow and cats to his liking! Adorable! I'm even wondering now what kind of dish Illya could make out of calf's liver. I might even learn to like it! And that guy ordering dish after dish gorging himself like he did was testament enough to Chef's skills but I still would have liked to have read what the "foodist" had to say about Taste and it's amazingly talented chef! Well done! (no pun intended!)
