I don't know how I missed this story, but I did and I'm so glad I found it! This was harrowing and emotional from beginning to end. You are one of my favorite MFU writers and this story underscores that feeling. Fantastic!

What an action packed, emotion-laden mission! You had me there at the beginning, as Solo is about to 'murderer' Kuryakin! I loved the tender ending, as they celebrate their golden anniversary, just as we are celebrating with the MFU50 MiniBang!

I'm so glad you participated in the mini bang and left us with such a great example of your work. It was a pleasure to be able to illo it! Thanks for a great tale!

Lovely, just lovely. You really showed the trust they have for each other!

A harrowing mission, with a beautiful conclusion. They deserved that golden anniversary that was against all the odds.

What a powerful story! The scene on deck with Napoleon, Illya and the Spanish family was absolutely terrifying. You wrung my heat out. I ached for Napoleon's inevitable choice. Brava.

A wonderful story. You showed that no matter how much the boys love and are in love with other, the mission, their duty and the innocents come first. I so much enjoy your work and thank you for sharing it.

Wonderful story! This read just like an episode. Well done!

Thank you for this most dramatic and well told mission, fully earning any 'Well done' s. For courage and brains, both Napoleon and Illya were in top form. And I loved the mother showing the courage to help. The bit about the anthrax collecters was a good touch, too.
The last paragraph was a great ending.

What a wonderful 50th Anniversary tribute! 50 missions, leading to 50 years of a good life filled with love.
I loved Illya's reaction to Napoleon's announcement that they were on their 50th Mission:
"He had frowned, as if weighing said unofficial events, determining whether to reassign them in his mental filing system as missions, instead of wherever it was he had originally slotted them."
I can see him in front of me calculating :)
The two of them deserve every minute of happiness they found in those fifty years!

Oh, this is glorious! I love how tenderly IK and NS attend to each other's hurts, and how gently they express their love, once the first hot flare of passion has subsided. And I especially love how they continue to trust and love each other for the rest of their lives. :-) Brava! A wonderful story!
