I love this blend of the supernatural and adventure. So well written, too. NS & IK come across as true to character. The lovemaking was both hot and spiritual without going overboard. Well done!

I'm not usually into AU, but this really drew me in.
And the whole build up in the cell was perfection. I'm SOOOO glad I didn't read the reviews before I read the story, as it would have totally spoiled what I thought was the best part.

i didn't know what i was getting myself into when i started reading this, but the first few paragraphs let me know this was not just any love story. amazing read. i couldn't stop reading it. unique and just the right mixture.

This is the best Illya-as-virgin story ever. The scene in the storage room -- where it sounds like they're both talking about sex and Illya turns out to be describing Napoleon killing him -- is a hoot.

I must admit that the first few paragraphs had me wondering whether I would like this or not, but, after reading further, I became so engrossed I couldn't stop reading if I had wanted to. This was a perfect balance of the supernatural and the practical, and I loved it. I have always admired writers who could make a story complete while allowing the characters to not understand or explain everything that happens. You do that very well.
You also have an excellent grasp of Illya's character and voice. I could hear him speaking every line you wrote for him.
